Integral Psychotherapy

Theoretical Foundations
Above and beyond all human drives, we are all seeking and striving to grasp and live in harmony with our Essence or Inner Self. Each person expresses this fundamental quest for evolution in their own unique way. Various experiences can inhibit or alter our path of development and change the course of our lives for better or worse. When left unaddressed, these experiences and the defense mechanisms we use to compensate for them, lead to self-sabotaging behaviors and attitudes. We refer to this as the accumulation of 'psychic baggage' which gives life a feeling of being a burden, unfulfilling or lacking in meaning. This leads to repeated behaviors that prevent us from reaching fulfillment.

Psychotherapy is the process of bringing our unresolved issues to the forefront. These issues are gently addressed through a wide variety of techniques. Experiential breathwork helps release their imprints from all levels of our being. The end result is liberating, aligning our thoughts, words and actions so that they are able to lead us to our ultimate realization and fulfillment.

How does it work?

Margot has developed a unique threefold approach to Integral Psychotherapy based on her view of human potential and consciousness:

Experiential techniques
to identify and release deep-seated tensions and blockages resulting from limiting thoughts and beliefs, unresolved issues, attitudes, emotions and traumatic experiences.

Cognitive tools
to understand our emotional and mental makeup and the functioning of individual and greater consciousness in order to move toward more congruent personal behavior and attitudes.

Mindfulness
helps clients to avoid the pitfall of falling into non-productive attitudes and actions merely out-of-habit once deep-seated emotions that initially caused them have been released.

This threefold approach is combined with Margot's ability to perceive her clients' deep, underlying strengths and potentials. She successfully helps clients identify and transcend blockages that prevent them from realizing their life potential on all levels (body, mind, soul, spirit) and in all areas (relationships, professional goals, inner peace...).

Margot strongly believes in client autonomy. The therapist's role is to provide tools and support to help you evolve toward realizing your potential in all areas of your life and in the core of your being.

Practicalities

Margot is accredited in France (Psychothérapeute agréée AFP-ACP).
Integral Psychotherapy is available individually and in groups, in person and via telephone, skype, or email.

The initial consultation allows the client and therapist to become acquainted, to ask questions and to explore your needs and the methods your therapist proposes for working together. This consultation is non-binding for both the therapist and client.

The duration of Integral Psychotherapy depends upon the client's goals and aspirations, as well as their aptitude for change and transformation. The client may achieve their therapeutic goals in a short period or they may feel the need or desire for a longer term therapeutic relationship.
